Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Development and Planning


Job Overview

The Senior Analyst, Corporate Planning, plays a key role in supporting executive and senior management through the development and maintenance of financial models, ad hoc analyses, and presentation materials. This position is integral to the company’s long-term strategic planning and decision-making processes, providing actionable insights and detailed forecasts to guide leadership decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain advanced financial models to support initiatives such as long-term strategic planning, liquidity forecasting, and other critical business projects.
  • Participate in financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and other strategic business initiatives.
  • Contribute to the long-range financial planning process, including scenario analysis and forecasting.
  • Collaborate across departments to gather data, validate key assumptions, and refine financial projections for better decision-making.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentation materials for Board meetings and other executive-level reviews.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, analytical efficiency, and overall workflow within the Corporate Planning team.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related business field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a business of comparable size and complexity.
  • Proficiency in modeling financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s) or CFA certification is preferred.


Skills and Experience

  • Background in Corporate Planning, Investment Banking, or similar high-exposure roles.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, research, and analysis; valuation modeling experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Experience in the energy industry is advantageous.
