West Coast Trial Lawyers, a downtown Los Angeles Personal Injury law firm, seeks a litigation professional with at least two (2) years of experience working as a legal assistant, paralegal, or case manager in personal injury. Experience drafting and propounding discovery is heavily preferred.

The ideal candidate must be eager to learn and work in a team environment where growth is dictated by the effort they put in! We are particularly interested in a candidate who is seeking growth and longevity with our firm!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience handling personal injury matters from inception of a lawsuit to trial
• Act as the liaison between clients and assigned attorney
• Communications with opposing counsel
• Maintaining the assigned attorney’s calendar while following deadlines pursuant to the California Code of Civil Procedure
• Managing a high litigation case volume
• Processing court filings in various counties along with federal filings
• Updating clients on the status of their case while simultaneously updating the case file
• Propound discovery and prepare subpoenas
• Draft pleadings and legal documents for attorney review

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of Litigation experience
• Full-time in-office availability: Monday – Friday
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Ability to work one-on-one with the handling attorney and within a team setting
• Easily operate in a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills

PREFERENCES:

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Knowledge of any legal software program (Filevine, Abacus Law, Clio, etc.)
• Preparing trial binders/exhibit binders
