We are seeking a customer-focused and hands-on IT Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects, performing installations, and leading a team of IT professionals. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure the smooth operation and advancement of our IT infrastructure. This position is on-site in Holland, MI.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by promptly addressing and resolving technical issues, providing clear and effective communication, and maintaining a customer-centric approach in all interactions.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a small team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve technical issues promptly, providing support to team members and end-users as needed.
- System Maintenance: Ensure the ongoing maintenance and optimization of IT systems, including servers, networks, security systems, and applications.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT processes, configurations, and project progress.
- Stakeholder Communication: Consult with internal stakeholders to understand IT needs and deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
- Project Management: Lead and oversee IT projects of various complexities from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Installations: Perform hardware and software installations, configurations, and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Technology Planning: Develop and maintain a technology roadmap, which aligns with company objectives, with monitoring to ensure technology initiatives support business needs.

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or similar experience.
- Proven experience as an IT Manager, or similar role, with hands-on project leadership and installation expertise.
- Strong technical skills in hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar.
- Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
