Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, San Diego’s oldest and most prestigious downtown law firm, is seeking a midlevel IT Systems Administrator to join our team. This person must be well organized, work well in a team environment and can multi-task while maintaining a positive attitude.
Summary:
The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for providing support and operational maintenance of the organization’s IT systems, including server and network infrastructure as well as endpoint systems and applications employed by Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP. In addition to operational activities the IT Systems Analyst is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting advanced software and hardware issues and testing new systems and updates.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for all IT systems, infrastructure, and applications
- Provide ongoing tier-2 user support of all system/application incidents reported through the service desk phone/ticketing system; including emergency on-call coverage, as required
- Research and identify solutions for advanced technology issues, including account setup and network configuration issues
- Track computer and application issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
- Provide prompt and accurate updates to lawyers and staff
- Follow up with lawyers and staff to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
- Properly escalate unresolved issues to the IT Director or appropriate external partners
- Refer to the internal knowledge base or other relevant external resources to provide accurate technology solutions
- Maintain and update internal knowledge base to accurately reflect changes in the firm’s systems and applications
- Ensure all issues and resolutions are properly logged in the service desk system and closed in a timely manner
- Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
- Prepare accurate and timely reports
- Provide end user training as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Service Desk Technologist
- Familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications
- Familiarity with current local area network technologies
- Familiarity with current virtualization technologies
- Ability to quickly learn new software and troubleshoot issues with existing systems and processes
- Attention to detail, highly organized with strong time and project management skills
- Effective communication and written skills and ability to interact effectively with all members of the firm
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as necessary, to sit or stand for long periods of time and to lift boxes that weigh up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment
Pay : $60,000.00-$70,000.00 annually
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (hybrid 2 days per week)
Work Location : Hybrid remote in down town San Diego, CA 92101
