Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for their facility in Ridgecrest, CA. The PTA will be responsible for assisting in implementing therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Job Responsibilities: Conduct assessments of patients' physical function and mobility Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans effectively Provide hands-on assistance and guidance during therapeutic exercises and activities Support patients in mastering techniques for mobility aids and assistive devices Assist in monitoring patients' progress and documenting observations accurately Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and injury prevention strategies Adhere to ethical and professional standards established by licensure boards Maintain current knowledge of best practices in physical therapy Collaborate with community resources to promote continuity of care
Qualifications: Associate degree from accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure CPR certification Understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Compassion and dedication to patient-centered care Previous healthcare or rehabilitation experience preferred
