Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee production and packaging. The ideal candidate will not just be someone who supervises the work of others. A supervisor will also be responsible for coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between hourly associates and plant management. The ideal candidate will be a competent individual who will be able to guide and train employees. This person will be well-versed in processes under the role's responsibilities and will be results-driven and focused. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Focuses on driving safety, quality, and productivity.
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
- Ensure employees are GFSI trained and utilize that training to produce safe quality food.
- Provide leadership and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention.
- Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow processes/procedures.
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to hourly associates.
- Prepare and present daily direction setting meeting (Huddle Meeting) for hourly associates.
- Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
- Monitor and prioritize workflow of production to meet deadlines.
- Check production output according to specifications and recommend continuous improvement ideas.
- Submit reports on performance and identify issues in efficiency.
- Leverages continuous improvement tools to eliminate loss, optimize processes, and improve reliability.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years supervising experience in a related industry.
- 1+ year manufacturing experience.
- High school diploma. A degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field will be an advantage.
- Shift flexibility including extended hours, weekends and holidays when required.
- Ability to read and write in English and to write reports legible and accurately.
- Ability to use MS Office.
- Extensive knowledge of product specifications and production standards.
- Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Superb leadership and problem-solving skills.
