About the Role


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Branch Manager to lead our Houston freight forwarding operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee end-to-end branch performance, drive commercial growth, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, leadership experience, and a proven ability to develop and execute strategic business initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency in freight forwarding, customs clearance, and logistics services.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, including operations, sales, and customer service staff.
  • Business Development: Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding customer relationships, and collaborating with sales teams to meet and exceed targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key clients, addressing their logistics needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the branch’s P&L, control operating costs, and ensure financial targets are achieved.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.


Qualifications & Skills


  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of import/export regulations, international shipping, customs brokerage, and freight modes (air, ocean, and ground).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L and improving profitability.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in industry-related software (e.g., CargoWise, ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
