Join Us as a Senior Packaging Engineer!!


As a Senior Packaging Engineer , you’ll play a vital role in designing, testing, and implementing packaging designs that are an integral part of our organization’s product development process.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end packaging development process , including design creation, prototype development, and performance testing.
  • Troubleshoot design, material, and process issues in new and existing packaging, delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and product specifications to determine packaging requirements, including special handling, environmental, and safety needs.
  • Develop and implement supplier standards ; evaluate, select, and review packaging vendors to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with global suppliers and cross-functional teams in engineering, product management, operations, and sourcing.
  • Participate in product introduction teams , ensuring successful packaging implementation for new market launches.
  • Optimize the packaging supply chain for cost-efficiency, quality, lead times, and compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards.
  • Recommend and apply tools and test methods to validate packaging designs.
  • Partner with manufacturing to ensure packaging is optimized for scalability and production efficiency.
  • Create and execute comprehensive test plans to exceed customer and regulatory requirements.


Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Packaging Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in industrial or consumer packaging.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solidworks)
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging design validation standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.), drafting, and specification standards.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping , process improvement, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills (PMP certification is a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Dependable, accountable, and adept at fostering constructive and cooperative working relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and email automation tools.
