Biomedical Technician II – Pottstown, PA
Job Summary:
The Biomedical Technician II is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and calibration of medical equipment and devices. This position requires a strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems. The Biomedical Technician II will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that medical equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment and devices
- Calibrate medical equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with medical equipment and devices
- Order and install replacement parts as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Train healthcare professionals on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment and devices
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the field of biomedical engineering
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
