About the Unit

5 Core is a 6-bed medical intensive care unit. Patients may experience a variety of disease processes involving the following systems: Neurology, Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiac, Immune/Infectious Disease, and Renal. This unit also cares for ICU level patients receiving blood cellular therapies.

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Qualifications
n
Required Qualifications
n
n - Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
n - Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
n - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
n - Associates’s degree from accredited college or University
n
n

n - Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University
