Busy Cafe and Catering operation is hiring a Kitchen Supervisor. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will work directly with Executive Chef, and be responsible for all day to day Back of House Operations. You will manage all cooks and BOH team members and ensure that all food preparation and cooking meets the highest standards, as well as adhering to all food safety and sanitary requirements. You must be able to hire and train new staff, assign and delegate tasks, and ensure that the kitchen remains clean and organized at all times. 
This position will require some scheduling flexibility. Most of the shifts will be day time shifts starting at 8 am, but some shifts will require working nights when there is a catering event, or when the restaurant is open for dinner on Thursdays until 8 pm. Ability to work weekends and occasional nights is required. You will be responsible for ordering and managing inventory of product, and keeping the food cost at a reasonable level. It is the Kitchen Supervisor's responsibility to monitor and ensure that all food is fresh, consistent, well presented, and delicious. 
In order to be successful in this position, qualified candidates must have a strong culinary background, be comfortable leading, motivating, and managing a small, diverse team and be a reliable, hard worker. Some computer familiarity is recommended, but not required. Must be able to communicate clearly with all team members.
