This non-licensed clinical staff position has an impact on reducing patient harm by preparing and maintaining sterile fields and equipment and on physician satisfaction and the overall effectiveness of the surgical services team by anticipating their needs.nnQUALIFICATIONS:nnEducation/Experience:nnRequired: Graduate of an accredited or US Armed Forces Surgical Technologists school and/or program or employed as a Surgical Technologist at a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013.nnPreferred: At least one year operating room scrub experiencennLICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS:nnRequired: Must obtain Surgical Technician Certification within 12 months of graduation date.nnPreferred: Current Surgical Technician Certification upon hirennNote: Surgical Technologists that were employed as Surgical Technologists in a surgical facility prior to July 1, 2013 are exempted from the certification requirement, as allowed by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.nnSchedule: Monday- Friday 8 hour days, Open for discussion - weekends and holidaysnnJob Description:nnAs a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
