A well known medical group located in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/ Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Type: Contract
Schedule: 09:00am-05:00pm (includes a 60 min break)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Responsibilities:
Prepares patients for examination, provides referrals and authorizations for patient as needed, perform EKG and application or cardiac monitors, hearing and vision test, phlebotomy, knowledge of equipment in work area, photocopy forms, answering telephones, ensure patients are greeted in a professional manner, proper taking and recording of vital signs, liaison between Family Health Center and inpatient staff.
Requirements:
New York State Licensed Practical Nurse
BLS certification
Must have LPN/LVN experience for over a year
Medical terminology, working with pediatrics a must and a plus
LPN experience for over a year, medical terminology, working with pediatrics a must and a plus
Must be able to draw blood, perform EKG
Assist providers with setting up patients and other tasks as needed
Must have EMR experience
Strong computer skills
Good communication ad written skills
