Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Leads the integration of established process improvement principles at Community First (i.e., Lean). Manages organization-level data collection, analysis, and reporting associated with the integration of quality improvement theory and practice into health plan processes. Direct cross-functional teams through process improvement projects and facilitate progress until project goals are met and sustained. Conducts quality improvement services at all levels of the organization, promoting process improvement, the integration of statistical methods, improvement of process outputs, and variation reduction. Assists in the development of process metrics, data collection tools/systems, and presentation/analysis of resultant data. Delivers organizational and functional-level reports to the clinical and non-clinical operational management teams. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a health-related field is required. A Master’s degree in a health-related field is preferred. Thorough knowledge of various accreditation standards (in particular, NCQA and HEDIS), healthcare regulations (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Texas Department of Health and Human Services), policy formulation, quality management, and process improvement is required. Documented work experience in the management of quality data, process improvement, and five years’ experience in the application of quality improvement methodologies. Knowledge of analytical and investigative techniques sufficient to identify current methodologies and conduct evaluations of the effectiveness of the results is required. At least five years of supervisory experience in a managed care setting with exposure to multiple product lines is required. Strong project management skills and data management skills are required. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION American Society for Quality certification or similar quality certification is required (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) within one (1) year of employment.
