It takes a talented, motivated and empowered team to delight our clients, driving profitability for all parties. When it comes to guiding principles, safety is part of our DNA, we are committed to building and nurturing Indigenous relationships, we support our communities, and we recognize the importance of environmental stewardship.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong industrial background to join our Terrace, BC, team. Allnorth holds several Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with industrial operators across the industry sectors within which we work. With a growing need for local team resources to lead both brownfield and greenfield engineering, procurement, and project delivery services in the oil and gas, liquified natural gas (LNG), smelting, mining, renewable energy, and materials handling industries. Using your considerable organizational, communication and people skills, you will work with highly collaborative multi-discipline teams to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high-quality standards.

A Day in the Life

  • Project identification, definition, coordination, and management of industrial projects across the many sectors in which Allnorth operates and in accordance with Allnorth’s Quality and HSE Programs.
  • Development of proposals, definition of project scopes and project management plans, coordination of project resources, development of project estimates and schedules, and management of project success criteria through to project completion.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams requiring team building and collaboration across multiple offices.
  • Interface with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations
  • Interface directly with the Allnorth Project Management Organization (PMO) for both internal and external reporting and the establishment and management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Facilitate and/or participate in internal and external project risk analysis.
  • Proactively resolve performance, scope, and schedule issues as they arise
  • Manage client relations at technical and commercial levels to achieve client satisfaction and leverage further opportunities
  • Perform “Doer-Seller” project and program level business development for the generation of additional opportunities with existing and/or emerging clientele.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Integrated engineering disciplines preferred
  • Must be registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of British Columbia
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) considered an asset
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the engineering and of managing multidisciplinary industrial projects, preferably in the oil & gas or manufacturing sectors
  • Previous experience with brownfield projects and capital and major maintenance portfolio management
  • Demonstratable experience with full-cycle project stage gate processes
  • Familiarity with the American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) and their many recommended practices
  • Process and operations engineering roles considered an asset
  • Direct supervisory and team leadership experience
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-term goals
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, with proven ability to interact with clients and to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
  • Technical competence and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstratable ability to work effectively remotely
