Job Duties Manage nursing care from admission to discharge, ensuring competent, compassionate, and cost-effective care. Ensure patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection, while performing disease prevention and restorative measures. Respond to medical and environmental emergencies efficiently and competently. Job Accountabilities Deliver patient care in accordance with hospital policies, scientific principles, and nursing standards. Plan and coordinate care delivery to ensure patient safety and comfort. Serve as a liaison between nursing and medical staff for collaborative patient care. Coordinate involvement of patient, family, and health team members to achieve optimal care. Exercise clinical judgment and critical thinking in all nursing processes and unit activities. Administer treatments and medications in a timely manner, maintaining current knowledge of patient care status. Assessment Conduct initial and ongoing assessments considering biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors. Complete nursing assessments within 24 hours of admission and ensure individualized goal-directed care. Identify and monitor patients at risk for untoward events and implement precautions to reduce risks. Evaluate and modify care plans in collaboration with patient, family, and other disciplines. Planning Develop and implement patient care plans based on comprehensive assessments and consultations. Document and communicate patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes with health team members.
