Ocean Export Agent Responsibilities - Coordinate the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier bookings and managing transportation logistics.
- Prepare and process required documentation, such as AES filings, commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on shipment statuses.
- Manage customer relationships, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the logistics process.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and other relevant legal requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Ocean Export Agent Requirements - Prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics, with a strong focus on ocean exports.
- Proficiency in preparing shipping documents and filing AES.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with logistics software is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
