Title: IT Project Management Analyst

Location: Montreal

Shift: 8:00am to 5:00pm

About the Department

The IT Application Production Support team is part of the Information Technology group, which works simultaneously on a wide range of projects arising from businesses, strategic initiatives, regulatory changes and reengineering of existing applications to improve functionality and efficiency. The team provides technical and functional support directly to operational user within BP2S


SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

  • The IT Project Management Analyst (“Analyst”) is responsible and accountable for managing, follow up and governance of the project activities allocated until closure
  • Such tasks include coordination with multiple application support teams, infra teams, development teams and other project teams across various location.
  • Schedule calls, create action tasks, ensure the meeting notes are taken and shared post the meeting, follow up with the action owner and get an action plan with ETA.
  • Reporting of current view and forecasted view of the projects.
  • Send a weekly report on the project tasks and the follow up actions.
  • Ability to create reports in excel and power BI and share the reports to Manager on weekly basis.
  • Good knowledge on ITIL concepts and should be able to contribute to the Service management tasks like Incident management, Change management and Problem management. Ability to create dashboards using Dynatrace.
  • The member should look for consistent improvements and communicate the same to the involved stake holders.
  • The PM shall serve on a POC for projects allocated.
  • The PM should work further automating the reports created and work with the Client teams in automating manual reports and set them in Dynatrace monitoring dashboard.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITI ES

  • Champion the Service Transition process and deliver good practice in line with the pre-defined process requirements.
  • Schedule, chair and minute Service Transition meetings.
  • Review and maintain process documentation Lead workshops and process awareness sessions Challenge stakeholders on process non-compliance and perform the necessary remedial actions.
  • Produce periodic and ad-hoc reports on process KPIs, key achievements and next steps Provide required evidences for audit requirements and participate in audit meetings where necessary.
  • Perform Continuous Service Improvement initiatives on Service Transition processes.
  • Deploy Dynatrace agents.
  • Build Dynatrace reports / Dashboards that enhances Client teams monitoring.
  • Provide Dyntrace trainings to Client teams.
  • Build reports using power BI.
  • Ability to present the project status to the management committee.


KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATI ONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; IT/Computer Science Engineering Minimum 7-10 years financial industry experience specific to Project Management.
  • Flexibility in working outside of your responsibilities and areas of expertise.
  • In-depth understanding of the linkage between financial services, Information Technology, and business value.
  • Creative and analytical ability in problem resolution and Decision-making skill.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good knowledge in Linux & Unix
  • Good understanding and hands on experience in Dynatrace
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good understanding and working experience in any of the scheduler tools.
  • Strong knowledge in PowerBI
  • Exposure / knowledge of ITIL practies
  • Prior business analysis experience in an application support environment
  • Good general understanding of global infrastructure, firewalls and networking and considerations in these areas
  • Analytical skills – Ability to analyze data surroundings incidents to a fine level, investigate dependencies and evaluate possible areas for improvement, and actions with a view to automate resolution.
  • Monitoring – Experience in monitoring tools (such as Dynatrace) is a plus.
  • Good written and spoken English is a must.
  • Overall General IT knowledge is a must.
