ServiceNow Technical Lead


Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a ServiceNow Technical Lead with extensive ITOM, ITSM, and CSDM/CMDB experience to place at our client, an industry leading technology company.

Client: A Fortune 100 Technology Company

Terms: 6-month Contract to Hire or Direct to Full-Time

Location: 2 days in office – Downtown Toronto

Required Project & Technical Experience:

  • Experience in project to operate transition for mission critical enterprise solution for a project of TCV greater than $10M (minimal), ideally closer to $100M
  • Technical leadership / architecture experience ideal but, in this role must have hands on capabilities
  • A balance of business and technical acumen in weighing options
  • Technical root cause analysis in ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM).
  • Proven track record of playing a lead role on an ServiceNow Team that is part of Platform Organization
  • Practical Technical Product knowledge for ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules
  • Experience in workflow / agent creation and support for ITSM
  • Experience in asset service discovery for ITOM
  • Working with developers in using and evolving CSDM
  • Must Have Technical Skills:
  • Service Now Certification for ITSM and ITOM and hands on capability in administration
  • ServiceNow API Integration with Observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, and working with developers with SNOW API direct integration).
  • Conversant in ITIL 4.0.
  • ServiceNow (product and workflow scripts and CI) promotion through ServiceNow instances from development to production.
  • Hands on expertise for ServiceNow ITOM in area of CI Discovery, CMDB
  • Experience in CSDM Mapping from the SNOW perspective with application/platform/infrastructure perspective.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications for middle management and technical resources.
  • Proven track record of teamwork and collaboration approach.
  • Enterprise “new build” experience for ServiceNow implementation
