Research associate position available now at the mission bay campus of the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center for an outstanding candidate interested in cancer biology or translational cancer research. Our lab is interested in oncogenes, signaling by oncogenes, targeting oncogenes, cellular addiction to oncogenes, and many of dilemmas in the field of oncogenes and cancer biology. Our studies encompass a wide variety of techniques including mammalian cell culture, transfections, lentiviral/retroviral infection, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, plasmid cloning and mutagenesis, PCR, protein purification, small molecule discovery, transgenic and xenograft mouse models, and immunohistochemistry. Bachelor's degree or higher is required. Candidates with experience in mouse xenograft studies are highly preferred for this position. Compensation is based on degree and years of relevant job experience per UC scales.
