Description of position – The Shain, Yeh, and Bastian laboratories were recently selected to join the Human Tumor Atlas Network (HTAN, to develop a pre-cancer atlas of skin cancer. Towards this goal, we will perform multi-omic characterizations of common forms of skin cancer and their precursor lesions. Examples of assays include: Bulk-cell and single-cell DNA/RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics (10X Visium and Xenium), and T- and B- cell receptor clonotyping. These data will be integrated to delineate how skin cancers evolve.

The ideal candidate must have an interest in analyzing multi-omic datasets and ideally would have previous experience with one or more of the assays described above. Previous experience in the fields of bioinformatics, cancer biology, and/or genomics is also desirable. The position is fully supported with long-term grant support.
