Position: Product Formulation and Development Manager
We are excited to present a new position for a Product Formulation and Development Manager with our rapidly growing company. As a Formulations & Blending Manager, you will be a key player in the planning, tracking and development of new and existing formulation efforts as they pertain to wet wipe products for retail and end use applications.
Duties:
- Formulation Development : Lead the creation and blending of innovative wet wipe formulations, ensuring alignment with client specifications, claims, and industry standards while optimizing product performance.
- Blending Coordination: Collaborate with the operations manager to oversee blending requirements and provide staff training on procedures as needed.
- Lab Testing Oversight: Partner with the quality team to manage lab testing, recommending additional equipment to enhance lab capabilities.
- Client Collaboration : Address client queries on formulations and blending, driving new product development and improvements to existing products.
- Project Management : Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from trials to scale-up, ensuring timelines, quality and deliverables are met.
- Performance Monitoring : Track formulation metrics and project milestones, providing updates to internal teams and clients.
- Innovation and R&D : Explore and integrate new ingredients and technologies to advance product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
- Client Training and Support : Deliver training and technical support to clients and colleagues, fostering engagement and satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities are subject to change as the company grows.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):
- Product Development Goals: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for new product formulations and enhancements, contributing to the overall growth and innovation of the company.
- Product Catalog: Maintain an up-to-date repository of all formulations, blending instructions and chemicals.
- Innovations: Develop innovations for both new and existing formulas to be promoted by the sales teams
- Margin Review: Participate in quarterly project margin reviews and assist with managing formulation profitability and advise on possible improvements
- Project Oversight: Ensure that project timelines and formulation milestones are maintained, utilizing Gantt charts to track progress and ensure timely completion.
Wage and/or Performance Review:
Review after 90 days and annually thereafter
Paid Time Off:
Eligibility for two weeks of PTO after 90 days of employment
8 paid holidays per year – New Years, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, 2 for Thanksgiving, Christmas
Working Hours & Location:
- Standard Office Hours
- Hours are flexible and based on the timing needed to hit your KPI’s

- Uniform service is not provided, however business casual dress code is acceptable
- We will expect you to always be clean, hygienic and have a positive upbeat attitude
Probationary Period:
There will be a 180-day probationary period. During this time, Guardsman at its option, may terminate employment for any cause or reason without any recourse from the employee and the employee may also quit at any time without recourse
