Role Overview:
The HR Manager will oversee HR operations for our production facility, working closely with line workers, supervisors, and leadership to maintain a positive workplace. This role requires hands-on involvement to address employee concerns, ensure compliance, and implement programs that enhance workforce morale and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Build strong relationships with line workers, fostering trust and open communication.
- Address grievances and resolve workplace conflicts with professionalism and empathy.
HR Operations:
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training for production staff.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing and employee documentation.
- Developing company Safety Programs
Compliance and Safety:
- Monitor adherence to labor laws and company policies.
- Collaborate with safety teams to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and workplace safety protocols.
Engagement and Retention:
- Develop programs to boost employee morale, such as recognition initiatives and wellness events.
- Conduct regular feedback sessions to understand employee needs and improve the work environment.
Performance Management:
- Support supervisors in implementing performance reviews and improvement plans.
- Provide coaching and guidance to employees for career growth and development.
Change Management:
- Lead HR initiatives during organizational changes, ensuring minimal disruption to production lines.
- Embrace innovation by introducing modern HR practices tailored to a production environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in the state of Illinois, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and compliance standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
