Ainsley Search Group is hiring for a EHS Manager for a Global Chemicals Manufacturing Company located in the Sussex County. The ideal candidate will report to Site Leader and manage, monitor and implement the EHS policy across the entire plant; ensure the alignment of local policy vs. corporate policy, implement H&S Training, drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure the compliance with local regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:
- Report to the Site Leader and streamline the EHS policy across the entire manufacturing plant.
- Collaborate with Corporate Team to ensure alignment between corporate policy and local plant safety and health policy.
- Maintain, monitor existing HSE policy and KPI, conduct risk assessments, identify risk mitigation measures and measures KPI results on incident rate, downtime, utility consumption, CO2, waste generation, etc.; conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action.
- Develop continuous improvements in KPI Measure, develop training program on safety, health, and Environmental awareness across departments (Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, Facility, Warehouse, etc.)
- Understand and keep current with OSHA, DEP and Wastewater regulations; ensure the plant is maintained to match GMP requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies such as DEP and Wastewater; stay abreast with updates from government agencies and revise internal EHS policy to ensure alignment.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors, review their safety guidelines and practices to ensure compliance with corporate and local regulatory policies; review subcontractors’ certificates, permits and licenses to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate contractor job to maintain building and safety; verify testing by contractors of environmental, fire, and safety systems as required by permit and regulations.
- Organize plant safety committee, review committee audits, findings and implement corrective action or improvement plan, education safety committee and employees regarding changes of corporate policy.
- Lead incidents investigation, implement and drive corrective actions and root cause analysis to reduce recurring safety issues.
- Collaborate with Maintenance team and coordinate LOTO and other pertinent maintenance procedures for compliance of safety and health.
- Oversee workers compensation and return to work policy, lead safety training and standardize safety and health policy across plants, warehouses and corporations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, higher education desired.
- 5+ years of experience as a EHS Manager, EHS Manager within the Manufacturing industry
- Previous practice in Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Kaisen or Lean Manufacturing is a plus
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Ability to provide hands-on support to both internal and external customers, and ability to collaborate with the corporate level.
- Excellent communication skills and people skill.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
