Demand Planner Position

Solely Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to join our team. This role is critical in shaping the company's supply chain efficiency and meeting customer demand. The Demand Planner will work collaboratively with the sales team to analyze sales data, develop demand forecasts, and maintain an ongoing forecast to support inventory and production planning. This role ensures our products are consistently available to meet customer needs while minimizing waste and inefficiencies.

Candidate Background and Skillset

We are looking for candidates with a strong foundation in demand planning, forecasting methodologies, and data analysis, ideally within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) or food & beverage sectors. The role requires a blend of analytical skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to translate data insights into actionable plans.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analysis in the CPG or food & beverage industry.
• Strong understanding of forecasting techniques, inventory management, and sales data analysis.
• Experience with demand planning software systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to align stakeholders and present actionable insights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and input from the sales team.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand upcoming promotions, product launches, and market changes that impact demand.
• Analyze and interpret sales trends to identify potential risks and opportunities in the forecast.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously improve forecasting processes to reduce errors and enhance predictability.
• Provide demand planning insights to support inventory and production planning, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and supply chain, to ensure demand plans are effectively integrated.
• Prepare and present demand forecast reports, highlighting key trends and actionable recommendations.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and customer behaviors to enhance forecasting accuracy.

Required:

• Proven track record in demand planning, forecasting, or a similar role within the CPG or food & beverage industry.
