Systems Support Manager
Position Type : Full-Time, Permanent
Location : Dallas, TX (On-site only)
Salary : $110–$115K +Bonus
Travel : Light travel required; international trips (1-7 days) approximately 1-2 times per month. Passport required.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Systems Support Manager to lead our end-user services and technical infrastructure operations, ensuring the reliability and availability of desktops, servers, storage/backup systems, and network/telecom solutions. This hands-on leadership role involves managing a dynamic team of 10-12 direct reports while fostering a collaborative and people-first culture.
As a key contributor to our IT strategy, you will address emerging user needs, manage system lifecycles, and support business growth through infrastructure planning and seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
- Oversee a team providing Tier II deskside support.
- Evaluate and address evolving user needs, developing lifecycle plans for hardware, software, and infrastructure.
- Hire, mentor, and conduct performance reviews to drive team success.
Technical Operations
- Lead deployment, installation, and upgrades of desktops, servers, and storage/backup devices.
- Maintain system reliability, availability, and adherence to operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and technical standards during integration and system support.
Strategic Contributions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT strategies with business goals.
- Support M&A infrastructure integration to facilitate seamless transitions.
- Present IT plans and performance updates to leadership.
Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field (highly preferred).
Experience :
- 5–7 years in Information Technology, with 3–5 years of management/leadership experience.
- Proven success in a 24x7, multi-site support environment.
- Hands-on expertise in first-line support and infrastructure operations.
Technical Skills :
- Strong understanding of networking technologies (e.g., routers, firewalls).
- Proficiency in Windows OS environments (90–95%) and AutoPilot.
- Experience with Cisco technologies and Palo Alto firewalls preferred.
Additional Skills :
- Budget management and contract review experience.
- M&A infrastructure experience is a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication, fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
