Job Description

Company Overview

Our client is a rapidly growing e-commerce business that has recently brought fulfillment fully in-house to better serve their customers and support their growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a company at an exciting stage of development, where you’ll step into a pivotal role and help shape its future. As the first hire in this crucial position, you’ll take over key responsibilities directly from the co-founders, making an immediate and lasting impact on the business.

The company operates a 400,000 square-foot warehouse with a small team, with plans to continue growing in the coming years.

Position Overview

This hands-on leadership role involves managing all aspects of warehouse operations, optimizing processes, and inspiring the team to achieve excellence in a fast-paced, start-up-style environment. You’ll take ownership of critical processes and establish scalable systems to support the company’s continued growth while directly contributing to its success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely order fulfillment.
  • Transition responsibilities from the co-founders and establish scalable systems to support rapid growth.
  • Lead by example—actively participating in the fulfillment process to set a high standard for operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute strategies that enhance warehouse performance and scalability.
  • Manage and optimize the Warehouse Management System to streamline operations.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor warehouse staff, creating a high-performance, safety-oriented work environment.
  • Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational goals are consistently met.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and implement a performance-based bonus structure that rewards success.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations leadership, ideally in e-commerce or high-volume distribution.
  • Experience working in a 3PL environment and supporting big-box retailers.
  • Expertise in inventory management, logistics, and fulfillment processes.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems; ShipHero experience is highly preferred.
  • A self-starter with a hands-on approach and a passion for solving problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and team-building skills with a knack for inspiring those around you.
  • A desire to grow with a company and take pride in building something from the ground up.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid Time Off
  • A chance to grow alongside an exciting, fast-scaling company where your contributions will truly matter.

Relocation Assistance

We offer relocation assistance for candidates outside of the region who are excited about joining a rapidly growing company and making a tangible impact during this pivotal time of expansion.
