The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the financial health of the organization, and providing strategic financial guidance to achieve long-term goals. This role includes managing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance, while leading the finance team to drive performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
• Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to guide decision-making and business growth.
• Prepare long-term financial forecasts and assess financial risks and opportunities.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Oversee the budgeting process, working closely with departments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against the budget and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial forecasts to support strategic initiatives.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations, standards, and policies.
• Work with auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure financial transparency and compliance.

Risk Management and Control

• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company’s assets are safeguarded.
• Implement internal controls to maintain data integrity, prevent fraud, and support audit requirements.
• Manage cash flow to optimize working capital and maintain financial stability.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Support professional development and performance management within the team.
• Promote collaboration across departments to achieve organizational financial goals.

Stakeholder Communication

• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Present financial results and insights to the board, shareholders, and external stakeholders as required.
• Maintain relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
• Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably as a Head of Finance or Finance Director.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
