MAU is hiring a Structural Design Engineer for our client in Charlotte, NC. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will design, analyze, and produce detailed construction and shop drawings for precast concrete boardwalk systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting the sales and engineering teams. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information:
- Hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day working remotely
Required Education and Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering Technology
General Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to manage fast-paced projects efficiently
- Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative approach to meeting deadlines
- Highly organized, punctual, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Skilled in interpreting and understanding construction drawings from consultants
- Expertise in developing comprehensive construction and fabrication drawing sets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
Essential Functions:
- Participate in engineering workload meetings as needed
- Occasional travel required
- Use AutoCAD to create precise construction and shop drawings
- Utilize proprietary software to develop preliminary drawings for the sales team
- Perform structural calculations for precast concrete components
- Interpret and apply relevant standards from AASHTO, ACI, ASCE, and applicable building codes
- Conduct peer reviews and verify drawings for accuracy
- Develop an in-depth understanding of precast concrete boardwalk products and manufacturing practices
