Affiliati is searching for a driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to research, source, and onboard Advertisers looking for better digital lead generation and sales strategies through Affiliate Marketing.



Position Summary:


The Business Development Manager will liaise with and report to the EVP, Sales and Marketing daily with a focus on receiving inbound requests from the sales team as well as conceptual requests from the leadership team about key growth verticals within the organization. The primary function is to identify and engage the proper stakeholders at other organizations identified as key prospects for The Affiliati Network business development team and develop the beginnings of a working relationship.


This person will initiate contact, negotiate the terms of partnership with those brands, products, or offers, and onboard those Advertisers into the platform.



Below is a list of key functions of the role.


  • Effectively implement the business development strategies and tactics for identifying the proper owners or contact for offers requested by the Affiliate Management Team.
  • Track and update pipeline of new offers with clear communication to relevant stakeholders of the Affiliate Management Team on status of new & relevant opportunities.
  • Source new sales opportunities through a combination of follow-up to inbound leads and outbound efforts with new Advertisers/clients found in ‘seed’ email accounts, social media accounts, and spy-tools.
  • Initiate contact with potential Advertisers to generate new business opportunities.
  • Clearly and convincingly articulate the organization’s offerings and value proposition and overcome initial resistance from prospective Advertisers.
  • Update and utilize company collateral and marketing material to close sales opportunities.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and vet opportunities to determine viability within the company’s ecosystem – including but not limited to Advertiser/Affiliate fit; company strategic goal fit; company offer-compliance requirements.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly KPIs on a consistent basis.
  • Maintain and expand a database of prospects that aligns with Affiliati’s business needs.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of current market conditions, including target audience and competition.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly opportunity reports for the Sales Team.
  • Manage the onboarding process of new Advertisers that apply to our network.
  • Communicate and assist with Network Administrative staff for new offer builds including verifying allowable traffic types, budgets, alternate landing pages, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



The ideal candidate for this role must have a bachelor's degree and experience as a business development "hunter" within the online and/or digital space and possess the skillset necessary to source and obtain the correct contacts within organizations via online tools.



While this is a remote working position, applicants must live in the Chicagoland area.
