A healthcare organization in New Jersey is seeking a Nurse Manager, Med Surg to join their compassionate and dedicated team. Responsibilities: The Nurse Manager, Med Surg will be responsible for:Collaborating with the Director of Nursing to develop unit goals and evaluating progress toward those goalsManaging staffing plans, schedules, and ensuring adequate coverage while maintaining staffing mix and complianceHiring, supervising, and evaluating staff, conducting annual performance appraisals, and initiating disciplinary actions as neededEnsuring safe and professional patient care by enforcing compliance with professional standards and identifying clinical and educational needs of staffReviewing and implementing policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and organizational standardsOverseeing quality assurance and quality improvement programs to address patient care issues and ensure follow-up actions are implementedAssisting in the development and monitoring of the annual budget, ensuring efficient and cost-effective resource allocationProviding information for reports on utilization, credentialing, and scheduling to meet regulatory requirements Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's degree preferredCurrent NJ licensure as a Registered Nurse5+ years of clinical med surg experience2+ years of supervisory experienceAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support certificationsKnowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA, and other regulatory guidelines Desired Skills:AORN Certification and IV CertificationKnowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement principlesAbility to mentor and develop staff effectively
