Position: HVAC/R Technician
Our HVAC/R Technicians are the backbone of our reputation and industry standing. You will be responsible for service repairs, equipment maintenance, and system replacements as needed, 24/7. We are looking for skilled, dedicated professionals who deliver timely, quality repairs, maintain equipment to the highest standards, and foster strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide top-level technical skill, quality, value, and integrity in all customer interactions
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R units for commercial customers
- Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components in HVAC/R systems
- Travel to job sites in the service area and work with dispatchers to maintain schedules and communicate delays
- Be on-call for emergency service needs on a rotating basis
- Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and electronics to ensure excellent working order
- Keep stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment well organized in the vehicle
- Use iPad applications to document services and parts provided
- Diagnose service issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate systems as per manufacturer recommendations
- Participate in ongoing company training
- Identify and communicate opportunities for additional business, such as new units, system upgrades, PM contracts, and more
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of recent field experience as an HVAC/R Technician
- Residence within 30 miles of the specified job location
- Valid driver's license
- EPA certification
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
- Strong knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills for iPad and phone documentation
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays if needed
