Location-Tukwila, WA 98168

Duration- 3+ months + Possible extension

Shift-Day 08:30 AM- 05:00 PM

Pay Range- $21/hr- $23/hr

Job Duties

• The Patient Authorization Representative is responsible for obtaining prior authorizations from insurance companies for medical services, treatments, and medications. This role ensures timely approvals, communicates with patients and healthcare providers, and maintains accurate records of authorization requests.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Submit and track prior authorization requests with insurance providers.
• Communicate with patients to explain authorization requirements and timelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary documentation.
• Manage authorization denials and assist with appeals.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with insurance policies.

Skills:

• Experience in insurance verification or medical authorization is a plus.
• The Patient Authorization Representative should have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of insurance processes, medical terminology, and confidentiality regulations.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
