Role Description

This is a part-time or full-time, on-site role for an Optician at Southland Eye Associates, PC, in Olympia Fields, IL. The Optician will be responsible for frame selection, advising patients on lens options, ordering and receiving jobs, and insurance billing (VSP, Eyemed, BCBS, Medicare, Impact, and some others).

Qualifications

• Experience as an optician
• ABO certification is helpful but not required
• Passionate about providing the highest level of satisfaction to patients
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• There is an on-site finishing lab; lab skills is a plus
• Strong understanding of insurance billing for optical products
