Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Lake Success, New York . This contract-to-hire opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine phlebotomy procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices for both pediatric and adult patients.
• Accurately distinguish and collect sample types according to the draw order for lab testing, ensuring compliance with collection requirements.
• Navigate the laboratory computer system precisely, maintaining minimal to no errors in data entry and patient information management.
• Verify patient demographics using two identifiers, consistently maintaining accuracy and compliance with safety protocols.
• Adhere strictly to infection control standards, including aseptic techniques, proper disposal of hazardous materials, and the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, lab coats).

Qualifications:

• High School graduate, GED or equivalent
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Phlebotomy experience required

Additional Information:

• Location: Lake Success, New York
• Job Type: contract to hire.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
• Pay Range: $ 17.00 to 23.00/hour.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
