Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our construction projects in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to completion. The Senior PM will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget. Client Details Our client is one of Portlands' largest and well-established GC's in the Pacific Northwest. They span across the multifamily and commercial fields, oversees ground up and tenant improvement projects with a pipeline of $200M. Description Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Initiation: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and construction workers. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment. Ensure all team members are aligned with project goals and timelines. Budget and Financial Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, forecasts, and financial reports. Monitor and control project expenses, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Project Execution and Monitoring: Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues. Implement project control mechanisms to track milestones and performance metrics. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and clients. Address client concerns and feedback promptly and professionally. Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Ensure all construction work meets industry standards and client specifications. Identify potential risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate them. Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement. Profile Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in the commercial or industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera). PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
