Job Description

A healthcare network in New York City is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join their Clinical Onboarding team in the Bronx. In this role, the HR Assistant will be responsible for playing a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for new clinical staff.

***This is a temporary assignment with an expected length of 2 months and the possibility for an extension or conversion.***

About the Opportunity:

Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Hours: 8am to 5pm
  • Setting: Acute Care
  • Department: HR Operations
  • EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new clinical staff
  • Prepare and distribute onboarding materials, including welcome packets, orientation schedules, and training manuals
  • Assist new hires with completing required paperwork, including employment forms, benefits enrollment, and compliance documentation
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure new hires have access to necessary resources, such as IT equipment, ID badges, and access to hospital systems
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of onboarding activities and documentation
  • Provide support and assistance to new hires throughout the onboarding process, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
  • Collaborate with the HR team to continuously improve the onboarding process and enhance the new hire experience
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as relevant employment laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of related Human Resources experience, including 1+ year of experience in Clinical Onboarding
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Expertise in Credentialing, Onboarding, and Compliance
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in high-volume onboarding, handling at least 50 candidates in a two-week period
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
