Dr. Damon B. Raskin, a respected Internal Medicine Practitioner specializing in Preventive Medicine and Rehabilitation, is seeking a dedicated Medical Scribe to join his team. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals eager to gain hands-on clinical experience in a fast-paced medical environment.

We are looking for one scribe to work f ull days (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) on Tuesday and Thursday and one scribe to work full days (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Must commit to working a minimum of one full year, including the summer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Real-Time Documentation: Accurately transcribe and document patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans into the electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Chart Preparation & Updates: Assist with clinical documentation by preparing and updating patient charts, coordinating labs, and recording physical assessment findings.
• Patient Care Support: Enhance patient care efficiency by documenting lab result follow-ups, and maintaining professionalism and discretion in a sensitive healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a clinical setting.
• Experience with or willingness to learn electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Commitment to the position’s schedule and responsibilities for at least one full year.
• Prior experience in a medical setting or familiarity with medical terminology is preferred but not required.
