Job Description

The Human Resources department at Calsoft is the glue that binds management and employees together in a caring, compliant and innovative work environment. As part of HR, you are helping to find, grow and keep the bright talent that make up our teams. As an HR Generalist, you will leverage your experience in this field to play a key role in analyzing current data and consulting Calsoft’s leaders on important matters concerning the most valuable resource the company owns – its people.


Job Responsibilities and Duties:


Provide general HR support to the management and employees

Policy development and documentation: Develop company-wide policies that are in accordance with labor law and corporate culture.

Payroll: Process payroll on a biweekly basis and maintain paid time off records together with the payroll team.

Recruiting: Administer and coordinate job postings, interviews, screening and offers. Setup partnerships with internship agencies, recruiters and other third parties.

Employee orientation, development and training : Create an annual training plan based on company goals. Design content for trainings. Schedule sessions.

Employee processes : Handle hiring (on-boarding), termination (off-boarding), relocations and leaves.

Immigration : Manage visa processing, administration, compliance and record-keeping. Consult and advise employees, managers, and related agencies on critical visa issues with help from attorney.

Benefits: Manage compensation and benefit programs for all employees. Provide education and support on plans and services with help from benefits team.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable state and federal regulations and laws with help from HR partner.

Participate in mandatory training.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in HR, communications, writing, psychology, or related.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Japanese language skills helpful.


Salary Range 50k-70k
