Job Description: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Reports to: Electrical Engineering Manager
Position Overview: Our client, a leading global player in the maritime and offshore engineering sector, is seeking an experienced, proactive, and talented Senior Electrical Engineer.
This professional will be providing advanced electrical and electronic engineering support and expertise in the definition, design, development, testing, and sustenance of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, and tests electrical circuits and systems by using current tools, analysis techniques, and technologies.
- Documents electrical development by writing documents, reports, memos, and change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
- Tracks electrical development efforts by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool.
- Solves engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and verifies requirements, circuits, and systems by using engineering practices.
- Investigates, researches, and selects electronic circuits, components, tools, equipment, and practices.
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Provide vendor technical support for electronic components commercial, internals designs and proprietary motor designs.
- Strong understand of ERP, SAP.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8-12 years’ experience OR Master’s Degree with 4-8 years’ experience.
- Solid lab skills and experience with debug, fixtures, test circuits, motors, or electronics circuits
- Must have experience in manufacturing proprietary components.
- Must have extensive knowledge of marine equipment and offshore power systems.
- Show strong leadership skills.
- Demonstrates work history of strong work history, self-started, and ability to work autonomously on advance design projects.
- SAP experience.
