Job Description: Insurance Defense Attorney

Location : Denver, Colorado

Position Overview :

Our client, a respected and dynamic law firm based in Denver, Colorado, is seeking an experienced and motivated Insurance Defense Attorney to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex cases for prominent insurance companies, providing expert legal representation in all phases of litigation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Represent insurance companies in all phases of insurance defense litigation, including pre-suit, discovery, depositions, motions, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings.
• Defend clients in a range of insurance-related matters, including personal injury, property damage, liability, coverage disputes, and workers' compensation claims.
• Review and analyze insurance policies, claims, and defenses to assess the viability of cases and develop effective legal strategies.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and persuasive argumentation.
• Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and legal research to support case development and strategy.
• Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) when appropriate.

Qualifications :

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Colorado (additional state licenses a plus).
• 2+ years of experience in insurance defense, with a strong understanding of insurance law, civil litigation, and trial procedures.
