The Hudson Valley Renegades are looking for energetic and outgoing individuals to be a part of our mascot team!
We want individuals who can help bring our mascots to life by creating magical experiences that become lifelong memories for our entire community. Our mascot team works directly with our Promotions, Creative Services and Community Relations departments as an integral part of the Hudson Valley Renegades Brand Initiatives. Our mascot performers will attend community events, perform in-ballpark, and be featured in a variety of digital and print content. This is a part-time role.
This is a local position for applicants that live in close proximity to Wappingers Falls, New York. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

• Represent the Hudson Valley Renegades brand in a professional and upbeat manner at all times, inside and outside the suit
• Must be an outgoing and positive individual who can easily connect with fans of all ages and abilities, and be able to read social cues to understand the level of engagement each fan may want
• Willingness to perform wacky promotional activities on field and in the community.
• Manage and maintain all mascot equipment, including props & costumes. Ensure that mascot supplies and mascot room are well organized and clean
• Work with our Promotions and Creative departments to create skits, dance routines, and other forms of mascot-related entertainment, crowd engagement and fan interactions
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, cold and rain
• Attend on and off-site events assisting the mascot (i.e. baseball games, stadium events, youth baseball related functions, corporate events, community, etc.).
• Preserve the identity and of the mascot and follow an established character playbook including: Body Language/Mannerisms, Attitude, Fan interaction and Team representation
• Entertainment experience in a mascot role is preferred.

2. How tall are you? Rosie is typically between 5' and 5'5, whereas Rascal is between 5'7 and 5'11. Exceptions are made for the right candidate.
