Job Summary: The Detroit Tigers are looking for a motivated, energetic, and dedicated individual to serve as a Lakeland Flying Tigers Bat Person in Lakeland, FL.
Key Responsibilities: - Set-up and organize dugout prior to game including bats, helmets, coolers, etc.
- Retrieve bats, balls and other equipment from playing field during games
- Provide umpire with game balls/water when requested
- Break down dugout, along with putting away all equipment used during game
- Cleaning shoes/cleats
- Equipment load-in/load-out
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : - High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiar with the rules of baseball
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as team schedules require
- Willingness to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to take direction and give direction
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Working Conditions: - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat and rain
- Ability to walk/run
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds
