What You’ll Do:

• Lead Estimating Efforts: Oversee and direct the estimating process for large and complex projects, ensuring budgets and scopes are accurate and aligned with project goals.
• Advanced Risk Management: Perform in-depth risk assessments for each estimate, identifying potential challenges and developing mitigation strategies to safeguard project success.
• Project Planning: Take the lead in developing detailed execution plans, including schedules with milestones, resource allocation, and timelines for completion.
• Site Assessments and Strategic Leadership: Attend meetings and site visits to assess project complexities and lead discussions on the best approach to meet project objectives.
• Stakeholder Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Market Intelligence: Keep a pulse on market trends and emerging opportunities in residential, industrial, and commercial sectors, providing valuable insights to the leadership team.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively embrace emerging technologies, industry trends, and feedback to enhance estimating methodologies and estimating team efficiency.
• Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor junior estimators and foster a collaborative team environment focused on achieving excellence.

Qualifications:

• A diploma in Engineering Technology or a Bachelor in Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in construction estimating, with a demonstrated ability to lead and oversee the pursuit of large-scale projects.
• Strong proficiency in English (both written and oral) is required.
• Gold Seal Certification in Estimating or other relevant certifications are an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced skills in MS Office, MS Project, On-Screen Takeoff, and familiarity with Revit BIM.
• Proficiency in French (both written and oral) is an asset.
