ABOUT THE COMPANY

Established in 1975, our client has become a growing and progressive global leader in manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and distribution of Lycoming and Continental piston engines , parts, and consumables for the commercial and civil aviation industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Strategic Procurement Specialist will lead the charge in evaluating and optimizing supply chain opportunities. This role involves forecasting, sourcing, analyzing, negotiating, and reporting on inventory and costs. You’ll also manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance with policies, and deliver impactful procurement strategies.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collaborate with production teams to develop procurement plans.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors to secure the best terms.
  • Maintain accurate supplier databases, lead times, and pricing.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast needs, and identify inefficiencies.
  • Manage import/export processes, tariffs, and shipping documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement strategies and procedures.
  • Lead inventory counts and ensure accurate reporting.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • 7+ years in procurement, with a strong background in sourcing and negotiation.
  • Experience in manufacturing or aviation is an asset.
  • Expertise in ERP software (e.g., Microsoft Business Central) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to tackle challenges head-on.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 annually based on experience
