Agilus is recruiting for an Applications Engineer - Nuclear in the Automation & Robotics industry in Mississauga, Ontario.


The Applications Engineering/EIT position will be an integral part of the Proposals and Applications team within our client’s Nuclear division. This role entails planning, managing, and creating custom solutions in response to customer RFQ/RFPs. It will utilize your strong motivation, engineering problem-solving skills, project management expertise, and business acumen.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating, controlling, and developing detailed proposals in response to customer RFQ/RFPs.
  • Compliance with customer’s RFQ/RFP submission requirements and evaluation criteria
  • Creating innovative concepts for nuclear applications.
  • Facilitating communication between internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers
  • Resolving technical matters by collaborating with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Focusing on meeting the needs of the customer, fiscal considerations, and Win Strategy development
  • Coaching and mentoring junior employees for their growth and development within the organization
  • Maintaining and servicing specific customer accounts and Responding to requests for quotations promptly and efficiently


Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Science or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems, or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) eligible and registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario is preferred or registered EIT
  • Minimum 3-5 plus years of Electrical or Mechanical Design or Applications Engineering, preferably in nuclear industry
  • Minimum three years of experience in proposals, applications, sales, and or business development
  • Must have experience with SolidWorks
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls and integration of equipment (preferred)
  • Must have a working knowledge of robotics, machine controls and manufacturing processes and be able to keep abreast of leading-edge technology
  • Experience and working knowledge of most CSA and ASME standards
