• We are looking for a Senior Developer that can do architecture, not an architect that does development when need be.
• Dev team of 9 total, mix of full-time and contract staff
• Even though the position is back-end in nature we need someone with good communication skills who is comfortable getting data from analyst and other stakeholders.
• Prior financial services experience is desired, but not required if the candidate is mathematically inclined.
• Looking for a 10 year plus senior person.
• The entire team itself is exceptionally strong with SQL. They have people that can do this job, but they don’t have the bandwidth. This is a new position. No staff under this person, but he/she will be setting best practices for the rest to follow.
• Expert SQL and SQL Server experience (looking for someone with Application Development experience)
• Excellent experience with stored procedures
• They do a lot of Dynamic SQL Generation so experience with that is a plus
• Systems architecture experience is a plus
• They are NOT in the cloud yet, so the experience around AWS and cloud is for when they go that direction. They want someone who can stake out a path and make a plan to execute on when they are ready (could be 2 years from now). Because of these there is flexibility on how much cloud experience they have but need to have it.
• Just need a working understanding of DevOps, not heavy.
