Tier III Network Engineer - TS/SCI CI Poly


Job Description:

The Tier II Network Technician will provide technical support for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer network systems. This role requires a strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and security principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices (switches, routers, firewalls)
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Implement network changes and upgrades
  • Coordinate with Tier III engineers on complex projects and incidents
  • Ensure network documentation and asset management records are accurate
  • Adhere to security protocols and compliance requirements
  • Provide support for COMSEC duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Required Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in network engineering or a related field
  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (Layer 1-3)
  • Experience with network protocols (OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS)
  • Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
  • Availability for flexible work hours, including weekend support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and Foundry network equipment
  • Familiarity with network management tools (ServiceNow, Confluence)
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA
