Role Description: Information Technology Help Desk Technician

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Information Technology Help Desk Technician to join our dynamic team at iTekz in a full-time capacity. The technician will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to end-users, troubleshooting network devices, and resolving IT-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktop computers, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Assist in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users to gather information, diagnose issues, and deliver resolutions.
  • Follow ITIL practices for incident management and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions.


Qualifications:

  • Strong technical support and help desk experience, with a focus on desktop support.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting desktop computers, printers, and network devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with a focus on user satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and processes.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), are a plus.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and support for wired and wireless networks.
  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
