Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Windows Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in system and application support to join our Integration Services Team within the Information Technology Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the support and engineering of custom and COTS applications running on Windows Server, with a focus on applications hosted on IIS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support and engineering for custom and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications on Windows Server .
• Manage and support applications running on Microsoft IIS , including configuration of application pools and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot and support .NET applications hosted on IIS.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and analysis of Windows applications and operating systems.
• Manage application upgrades and apply patches to Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019 ).
• Develop and execute scripts using PowerShell or VB Script for automation and maintenance.
• Support highly available applications using Microsoft Clustering and network load balancing technologies.
• Work in a 24x7 environment with on-call responsibilities as required, collaborating with a high-performance, diverse team.
• Document processes, solutions, and troubleshooting steps effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience supporting Windows Applications and Web Application Server Administration in a corporate setting.
• Expertise in Microsoft IIS and web application support, including a strong understanding of application pools.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and related upgrades.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting .NET applications hosted on IIS.
• Experience with Windows patching and implementing patches effectively.
• Intermediate scripting skills with PowerShell or VB Script .
• Experience supporting highly available applications using Microsoft Clustering and network load balancing.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, making critical decisions in the absence of complete information.
• Exceptional communication, listening, and writing skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft FTP Server and/or GlobalScape Enhanced File Transfer .
• Familiarity with infrastructure supporting application containers .
• Experience with implementing automation for agile development processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , MIS , or a related field (preferred).
